The muniz family’s
Kitchen Remodel
The Muniz family’s transitional kitchen remodel
as is typical of historic homes, the muniz family’s 1930’s bungalow had a choppy layout.
You entered into a spacious living room and there’s a large family room at the back of the house but the middle section was divided into a small kitchen and small dining room. with a growing family the kitchen space was no longer functional, the dining room wasn’t large enough for a table that would sit everyone, and the front living room was never used since it felt really closed off from the rest of the living space.
It’s amazing what happens when a few walls come down!
the new open-concept floor plan made the house feel twice as big! the kitchen’s large island has enough seating for all the kids to enjoy breakfast or a snack and mom can keep an eye on everyone while she’s cooking regardless of what room they’re in so the front living room is now in use. functionally this remodel was a game changer for this family to better enjoy thier home and AESTHETICALLY this kitchen is a show stopper!
Noelle has IMPECCABLE taste and had a clear vision of what she wanted so my job was easy. the custom white oak island features a farm sink, panled dishwasher, trash pull out, and paper towel holder on the front side and additional cabinetry for storage on the back. the gorgeous induction range and custom hood are the centerpiece of one wall, that also has a full height backsplash with ledge flanked by two towers with appliance garages on the bottom. The OPPOSITE wall mirrors the symmetrical look of the first wall with a coffee bar as the centerpiece that ties in the white oak from the island. The coffee bar is flanked by a paneled fridge on one side and pantry storage on the other. this kitchen combines beauty and functionality!
I hope they enjoy this space for many years to come and you enjoy the photos!
