Kensington Farmhouse

Located in the heart of the city, this custom new build looks like it could be sitting on 50 acres of pristine farmland. I love the contradiction!

the black railing and decorative posts perfectly frame the unique custom mahogany front door and gas copper lanterns to create a gorgeous focal point for the exterior curb appeal.

inside we were able to achieve a high end look using cost effective materials to ensure the clients didn’t face excessive overages in their budget. their big splurge was the white oak beams accenting the peaked ceiling in the open-concept living space but those beams single handedly took this home from builder-grade to stunning and were worth every penny!

The kitchen was designed using stock cabinets but i was able to use some creativity to make it feel like a custom kitchen. key features included the contrasting island color, cabinet tower on the sink wall, use of open-shelving, and the custom range hood. The clients also splurged on a pot filler for the stove, a wine fridge, and GE cafe appliances. Again, money well spent as this space will be one they’ll entertain in for years to come!

…and we came in under budget on the bathrooms giving them back some funds toward their living space upgrades!

It was a pleasure to work with these clients and watch their selections come to life this past year. helping them create a stunning home within budget was a lot of fun creatively and i’m so proud of the end result! I hope this space brings them joy and comfort for many years to come!
